Umedia is a vertically integrated film group with more than a 100 employees, based in Brussels, Los Angeles, Paris, London and Vancouver and that combines activities of international movie development, production, financing, VFX and Finishing.

Umedia had already invested more than 500 million euros via the Belgian Tax Shelter and has contributed to more than 300 films and series.

For our upcoming projects, we are currently looking for freelance compositors to join the team in our Brussels office.

Positions are available for mid and senior artists, although we’ll be happy to hear from skilled juniors as well.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Compositing of live-action and CG elements to create technically perfect and visually stunning final shots.
  • Take directions from the lead artists and supervisors
  • Find creative ways to solve complex compositing issues.
  • Help / brief junior artists
  • Work closely with the production coordinators to meet the deadlines.
SO, IF:

You are well versed in Nuke (background in Shake is considered a plus),

You have at least 3 years of experience,

You have a very good understanding of color and light and how they work in a digital way,

You are proactive, positive and fun to work with,

You can accept change and work under tight deadlines,

You can manage your time,

You have good communication skills,

AND IT’S EVEN BETTER (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) IF:

You have some knowledge of Maya (or other 3D packages),

You are experienced with PFtrack (or other 3D tracking software),

You are experienced in stereo compositing

You have programming skills (python)

You can speak and understand French

You have some knowledge and interest in real world lighting and photography.
