2 Umedia projects in selection at Locarno Film Festival

The 70th edition of the Locarno Film Festival’s official selection is now revealed and 2 Umedia movies are selected in the Piazza Grande section:

“What Happened to Monday”
Directed by Tommy Wirkola, “What happened to Monday” stars Noomi Rapace (“Prometheus”, “Millennium”), Glenn Close (“Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Dangerous Liaisons”, “101 Dalmatians”), Willem Dafoe ( “Spider-Man”, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”) and Robert Wagner (“A kiss Before Dying”).
“What happened to Monday” is produced by Raffaella Productions, Vendôme Pictures, Nexus Factory and Umedia. It is distributed by SND. Umedia VFX was in charge of the whole visual effects of the feature length.

Synopsis: In a world where families are limited to one child due to overpopulation, a set of identical septuplets must avoid being put to a long sleep by the government and dangerous infighting while investigating the disappearance of one of their own.

“Chien”
Directed by Samuel Benchetrit (“J’ai toujours rêvé d’être un gangster”, “Asphalte”), « Chien » stars Bouli Lanners (“De rouille et d’os”, “9 mois ferme”), Vanessa Paradis (“L’arnacoeur”, “Café de Flore”) and Vincent Macaigne (“Les Innocentes”, “Les Deux amis”). The entire shooting took place in Belgium: Charleroi, Nivelles and Marbais.

The 70th edition of Locarno Film Festival will take place Aug.2-12
