Two Umedia Coproductions Nominated for the 2025 César Awards


We are very proud to announce that two Umedia coproductions have been nominated for the 50th César Awards.

Here’s a look at the nominated productions:

The Count of Monte Cristo


After captivating more than 9 million moviegoers in French theaters, this adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ classic stands out with 14 nominations at the César Awards, making it the most nominated film of this edition.

Written and directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière, the film tells the story of Edmond Dantès, played by Pierre Niney, who, after being the victim of a conspiracy, embarks on a quest for revenge against those who betrayed him.

This production by Chapter 2 and Pathé Films, in coproduction with M6 Films, Fargo Films, and Umedia, is competing in the following categories:

Directed by Guillaume Nicloux, this biographical film explores key moments in the life of Sarah Bernhardt, portrayed by Sandrine Kiberlain, offering an intimate portrait of this legendary figure in French theater.

Produced by Les Films du Kiosque, in coproduction with TF1 Films, Fils Prod, and Umedia, the film has been nominated in two categories:
- Best Costume Design
- Best Production Design
