A series co-produced by Umedia will be presented in competition in this year’s edition of Séries Mania!
"Unchained" (Enchaînés), a series co-produced by Umedia, is selected at Séries Mania.
Festival season continues to work its magic with Séries Mania, the major international event entirely dedicated to series, which takes place in Lille from March 20 to 27.
For the 2026 edition, we are especially proud to see one of Umedia’s co-productions featured among the festival’s official selections and programming.
This recognition highlights the growing presence of Umedia co-productions at leading industry events and actively contributes to bringing distinctive creative voices and bold storytelling to the international stage.
“Unchained” (Enchaînés) - Official selection in the “French Competition” category
Synopsis: Set in 1806 on Réunion Island, “Unchained” follows Charles Bellevue, played by Olivier Gourmet, whose plantation is devastated by a violent cyclone. Ruined, he is forced to give up his land, while his enslaved workers fear being sold and separated. Among them, Isaac uncovers a life-altering truth: Charles Bellevue is not only his master, but also his father.
This historical drama series has been selected in the “French Competition” category with the winners to be announced on March 27! Furthermore, the first episodes of the series will premiere during the festival on March 24.
“Unchained” (Enchaînés) was created by Alain Moreau and directed by Laure de Butler. A Tetra Media Fiction production, co-produced by Be-FILMS and Umedia, with special effects by UFX Studios.
