Two Umedia co-productions to be presented at the 76th edition of the Berlinale.
Berlinale 2026: "Ravalear" created by Pol Rodríguez & "The Weight" directed by Padraic McKinley.
We are proud to announce that two of our co-productions will be presented at Berlinale this year!
As co-producers of these two international productions, we are delighted to see projects we work on be selected in such a prestigious event, proving the quality and talent of these productions. This symbolizes a strong recognition of the excellent work done on diversified projects: the feature film “The Weight” and the series “Ravalear”.
🔸 “The Weight” is selected in the Berlinale Special Gala category.
In this historical drama directed by Padraic McKinley and set during the Great Depression, a war veteran is hired to help smuggle gold across the wilderness to help save his family. The feature film stars Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe.
Produced by Augenscheinfilm Produktion, Fields Entertainment, Under the influence Productions and Construction Film, in coproduction with Umedia.
🔸 “Ravalear” will premiere in the Berlinale Special Series category.
In this series created by Pol Rodríguez and set in Barcelona’s Raval neighborhood, the story follows a family’s struggle to save their restaurant from a buyout by an investment fund.
Produced by Arcadia Motion Pictures and Supernovafilms, in coproduction with Umedia for HBO Max.
